Do I need a street permit to erect scaffolds?
If the scaffold structure is on a footpath, then a street permit is required, a street permit will need to be obtained prior to the erection of scaffold. The hire period can vary from each County Council and the price is also different depending on what County Council you live in. We have 10 million pound public liability insurance in place so we have the ability to obtain a licence from all local County Councils. The street permit fee and hire will be written on your quote so you will know exactly how long the hire is and the cost you are paying. (If your works do go over the permit period, an extension can be requested for at an additional cost to yourself).
